Kentucky’s 35-3 team last season featured five players that jumped to the NBA draft early. John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe and Daniel Orton were all freshmen. Patrick Patterson was a junior.
So. Do any of ‘em regret jumping now that the Wildcats are in the Final Four?
“Yes, I wish I was still there,” Cousins told the AP. “College life was fun.”
Patterson was the opposite: “No regrets at all. This is a lot different but I definitely think about it all the time how much I miss it, but no regrets.”
As for Wall, the draft’s No. 1 pick, he’s mostly enjoying the run.
“I’m feeding off it,” he said. “I’m happy for my Kentucky teammates. They did something we couldn’t do last year. ... Hopefully they can win it all.”
