Kentucky’s 35-3 team last season featured five players that jumped to the NBA draft early. John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe and Daniel Orton were all freshmen. Patrick Patterson was a junior.
So. Do any of ‘em regret jumping now that the Wildcats are in the Final Four?
“Yes, I wish I was still there,” Cousins told the AP. “College life was fun.”
Patterson was the opposite: “No regrets at all. This is a lot different but I definitely think about it all the time how much I miss it, but no regrets.”
As for Wall, the draft’s No. 1 pick, he’s mostly enjoying the run.
“I’m feeding off it,” he said. “I’m happy for my Kentucky teammates. They did something we couldn’t do last year. … Hopefully they can win it all.”
