Devils stayed up late Monday night -- Coach K’s orders

Duke’s players spent Monday night doing what most college students do – stay up real late. Coach’s orders.

The Devils were a day removed from a last-second win over Michigan when Mike Krzyzewski ordered them to not go to bed. Sure, they could’ve used the sleep. But he was more concerned with them adjusting to a three-hour time difference for their Sweet 16 game in Anaheim, Calif.

“When he said it, we all kind of looked around at each other. We didn’t believe it,” Mason Plumlee told the Duke Chronicle. “But it was a good point, there is a time difference.”

It’ll be a small difference, though. Duke tips off against Arizona at 9:45 ET, only about 45 minutes later a normal start for them during the season. If SDSU-UConn runs late, it could change, but that’s about it.

Staying up late should be easier Tuesday night. .
