San Diego State’s first-ever NCAA tournament was cause for celebration in San Diego. Local TV sports director Ben Higgins almost didn’t get to enjoy it.
He was doing a live standup spot for 10News when a car backed up a driveway for what looks to be a nearly a hundred yards – and doesn’t see Higgins.

“I have to thank my camera operator,” Higgins said. “He saved my life running in front of the truck and making him stop.”
