Coaches to cheer for during the NCAA tournament

In case you passed on picking Belmont to upset Wisconsin in your bracket, maybe you should think again. Rick Byrd is reason enough to cheer for the Bruins.

The longtime Belmont coach is one of the game’s good guys and been at the school since 1986, taking it from NAIA power to the top of the Atlantic Sun. He’s been to four NCAA tournaments and nearly knocked off Duke back in 2008. And if that’s not enough, the Bruins play an up-tempo, all-out pressure style.

As Ken Davis wrote in a recent column, that’s more than enough to for people to root for Byrd.

Luckily, Byrd isn’t the only one worth cheering for. So check out who else Ken says is worthy..
