Doron Lamb ‘doubtful’ for SEC final

Kentucky smacked Alabama 72-58 in the SEC semifinals, advancing to tomorrow’s SEC title game, where they will play Florida.

The Wildcats won’t be at full strength, however.

Both Deandre Liggins and Doron Lamb injured their ankles on Saturday night. Liggins will be fine, as he just tweeked it. Lamb, on the other hand, is doubtful for tomorrow, according to John Calipari.

“Could be doubtful,” Calipari said. “I don’t know. He was pretty bad in there, but we’ll see how bad he wants to play.”

“I’m playing tomorrow. I’ve just got to get a lot of treatment on my ankle to get ready,” Lamb said.

If Lamb can’t go, it would be a huge blow to the Wildcats. At 13.2 ppg, he is their third leading scorer on a team that only goes about six deep. Without Lamb, expect Jon Hood, who has played in 42 games this season, to see time.
