Friday’s slate and what to watch

Those in search of a potentially college hoops Cindrella are in luck. Friday’s Fairfield-Siena game (7 p.m., ESPN2) is a matchup of the MAAC’s best team and perhaps its best player.

The Stags (22-5, 14-2) have quietly crept up kenpom.com ratings thanks to their awfully efficient defense that forces poor shots and a fair amount of turnovers.

If only they had Siena’s Ryan Rossiter on their team -- few players log more minutes, grab more rebounds or are smarter with the ball – they’d be a sure-fire pick to pull off an upset next month. Maybe that means you’ll have to watch for yourself.
