Angelo Chol chooses Arizona, adds to a wealth of young talent for Sean Miller

Sean Miller continues to clean up on the recruiting trail.

With PG Josiah Turner (Scout No. 15), SG Nick Johnson (No. 33), and PF Sidiki Johnson (No. 74) already committed to Arizona, Miller picked up one of just three available top 50 recruits on Thursday when Angelo Chol, the No. 10 PF in the class and No. 43 recruit overall, picked Arizona over North Carolina and Kansas. He eliminated Alabama and Washington on Tuesday.

Miller has been stockpiling talent since he came to Tucson. After getting the job, he was able to land one of the best recruiting classes in the country in 2009, as current sophomores Solomon Hill, Momo Jones, Kryrl Natyazhko, Kevin Parrom, and Derrick Williams all signed on. Last year, he was able to bring in Jordin Mayes, Daniel Bejarano, and JuCo transfer Jesse Perry.

The Wildcats may be overrated as a top 15 team in the country, but with a win at home against Washington on Saturday, they will have seized firm control of the Pac-10 this season.

If he continues to recruit like this, there is no reason that Tucson can’t become a hub for college hoops again.
