Nike hooks up Arizona with ‘paper light’ jerseys

Arizona hoops unveils its new Nike jerseys tonight against UCLA, the school’s first new uniform set in almost four years.

You can see the new unis to the right, but it’s tough to make the out the school-specific designs Nike added, much like the jerseys Duke, Washington, Ohio State and Texas wear.

Supposedly, these fancy new things are “paper light” compared to what the Wildcats have been wearing since 2007, Jamelle Horne told the Arizona Daily Star.

If you’re thinking it’s not that big of a deal, you’d be right. The jerseys look good, but it’s not a huge deal to everyone. MoMo Jones provided some reality.

“We’re lucky to have uniforms; where I’m from, we didn’t have uniforms,” he told the paper.

“A uniform doesn’t make you.”
