Indiana gov. watched Purdue-Ohio St. instead of State of Union

Good to know I wasn’t the only one who watched Ohio State-Purdue instead of The State of the Union. Then again, I was watching for work. Not sure what Mitch Daniels’ excuse is.

The Indiana governor admitted to WLFI18 that he “Boilered Up” instead of listening President Obama’s speech.
“You caught me. I didn’t watch it. I was watching the Purdue game as long as it was watchable,” Daniels said. “Honestly, I’ve read the accounts. I’ve got the text of the speech and I’ll be reading it between now and the next stop. I think I’ll just say that I’m very hopeful that we are going to see changes in national policy.”

And was it worth it? To skip a national address for a 23-point Ohio State victory? I know I tuned out the game. Can’t imagine what a Princeton and Georgetown grad thought.
