Kyrie Irving -- now without crutches!

Despite a sluggish first half against Virginia, Duke rebounded nicely from its first loss of the season with a 76-60 win vs. the Cavs. Rob Dauster says the Devils (16-1) could stand to work on their shot selection, but remain one of the nation’s elite teams.

Here’s something else that would help: Kyrie Irving getting back on the court.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski reiterated Saturday that the freshman point guard – out since Dec. 4 with a toe injury – still may not play again this season. Still, Ken Tysiac of the Raleigh News & Observer spotted something that might make Duke fans perk up:

Irving wasn’t using crutches to get around.

I know. That’s a reach. But hey, anything to prolong the daily Irving updates. There’s a huge audience for this stuff.
