Michigan State’s “perplexed” and “disappointed.” Neither are good with Wisconsin coming to East Lansing Tuesday night.
The Badgers (12-3) rarely turn the ball over (lowest rate in D-I), don’t force anything on offense and have a pair of elite players in Jon Leuer and Jordan Taylor. Meanwhile, the Spartans (10-5) can’t keep ahold of the ball, don’t force any turnovers and don’t have any reliable shooters.
That’s my way of saying expect a low-scoring, tight game. In other words, your typical Big Ten game.

N.C. State at Boston College, 9 p.m. (ESPNU): The Wolfpack have won five straight, and have crushed foes since Tracy Smith returned on Jan. 1. This starts a three-game stretch against BC, FSU and Duke. Going 1-2 in that stretch would qualify as a key accomplishment and a big step toward making the NCAA tournament.
Florida at Tennessee, 9 p.m. (ESPN): Game 2 of Bruce Pearl’s SEC exile is back in Knoxville, but it won’t mean much if the defense decides to disappear. Again.
BYU at Utah, 8:30 p.m.: The Cougars are vying for the MWC title. The Utes are trying to stay out of the conference cellar. I’d like to say this is a rivalry game where the records don’t matter, but that would be lying.
Illinois at Penn State, 9 p.m. (BTN): The Illini can’t miss right now; as if Penn State didn’t have enough problems.
