Duke, Kansas, Ohio State, Syracuse and San Diego State all survived the weekend with perfect records intact.
Not that any of those wins were easy. The Aztecs’ nine-point win at Utah was the largest margin of the bunch. That says it all, eh?
Not that any of those five have it that tough.
Try being Alcorn State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Centenary or UNC-Greensboro. Those four are still seeking that first win of the season – and APB just missed one, losing in OT to Alabama State.
Monday could be different. Three of the four are in action. And all four could grab that first W.
UNC-Greensboro (0-14) hosts Elon. All it takes is a little defense and a few 3s. (I write that like it’s easy or something…)
APB (0-14) gets Alabama A&M at home. If it doesn’t work out, Southern and Alcorn State are next up. APB’s getting off the skids soon.
Alcorn State (0-13) is the long shot. The Braves are at Grambling. And road wins in college hoops just aren’t easy.
