It’s hoops night in the Valley. All 10 Missouri Valley schools are in action Tuesday, with the Missouri State-Creighton game serving as the marquee matchup.
Been a rough season thus far for the Valley. They’ve missed out on chances for crucial wins which could’ve helped come Selection Sunday. Seems as if it’ll be a one-bid league come Selection Sunday, which hurts.
Basketball’s better when the Valley’s a contender. Just sayin’.
Connecticut at Notre Dame, 7 p.m. (ESPN3): Can anyone besides Kemba Walker score for the Huskies? If that ever happens, maybe games like this won’t be so stressful for Jim Calhoun. Actually, check that. Notre Dame’s offense makes everyone sweat in South Bend.
Indiana at Minnesota, 7 p.m. (ESPN2): The Hoosiers’ six-year rebuilding plan is on track. Too bad everyone thought it’d only take four years. Good news for Indiana, though. The Gophers have fully regressed from their early season form.
Pitt at Providence, 7 p.m. (ESPN3): The Panthers sport the nation’s most efficient offense. Not Duke, not Kansas, not Ohio State, not Wisconsin. Pitt. Remember when it used to be all about the defense? Thank you, Jamie Dixon, for making the Howland days a distant memory.
