Texas A&M and Arkansas scuffle while Rihanna sings

Bench-clearing melees are not all that common in college hoops, which is why when one happens, it deserves a post of its own:

Jeff Peterson of Arkansas tries to steal the ball from Texas A&M’s Dash Harris when the Aggie point guard is calling a timeout. He crashes into Harris, and Nathan Walkup and Khris Middleton shove Peterson out of the way. Since the timeout was called and the two teams were already coming out onto the court, the shove sparks a whole bunch of jawing and shoving between the two teams. No punches were thrown, Walkup and Peterson were T’d up, and A&M’s Kortney Roberson and Arkansas’s Marvell Waithe were tossed for leaving the bench.

Texas A&M got the win in overtime, in part because this melee sparked a comeback from nine down.

The funniest part of this whole ordeal? The Rihanna song playing in the back ground. A bunch of big, strong athletes are measuring their, uhh, egos while Rihanna is telling them to “make me feel like I’m the only girl in the world.”

Hilarious.
