Kyle Singler Gets Buckets

Admit it — you’re starting to like this Duke team.

After watching them play on Sunday afternoon, I know I am. Like, you know, cuz they’re really, really good and stuff.

But there’s another reason as well. This Duke team doesn’t really have a villain. There’s no Christian Laettners or JJ Redicks or Jay Williams’s or Greg Paulus’s. Kyrie Irving is a talented freshman point guard that is super talented, but he’s played one game. No one knows him. Nolan Smith is an awesome tweeter than won a national title last season for his father in the same city that his dad won one thirty years earlier. Its tough to say a negative word about that young man.

That leaves Kyle Singler. And since he is white (has anyone else noticed that Duke’s white players are almost universally despised outside of Durham?), he has to be public enemy No. 1, right?

Well, if you do feel that way, watch this video. It might just change your mind:

Pretty funny, no?

The video might remind you of Mark Titus’ “The Rainmaker”. Titus was a walk-on at Ohio State that started the blog Club Trillion, which is all about his tales from the end of the bench.
