Thanks for the laughs, Draymond

Some think hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports. Others will tell you it’s playing quarterback, or stopping a hockey puck or handling a race car.

If you’re 6-foot-6, the hardest thing may very well be to hit a golf ball. Just ask Michigan State’s Draymond Green.

To be fair, Green does many things well on the basketball court. He’s an efficient scorer, good rebounder, passer and can be counted on for heady plays. But golf ain’t his thing.

Hard to say what Green shot, (Jeff Eisenberg guesses 200 would be a conservative estimate), but it’s clear he was willing to endure a little embarrassment for a good cause. It was all part of LaMarr Woodley’s annual charity golf event in Freeland, Mich. that has raised more than $350,000 the last six years for Saginaw youth recreation programs.

Here’s an idea: Make a highlight/blooper tape of all the participants. Green can be the showcase golfer.
