Terrence Jones – nearly three weeks removed from his announcement that he would attend Washington, only to not sign a letter of intent – has finally come to a decision.
“I feel confident that he’s going to sign tomorrow,” Jones’ coach Pat Strickland told the Oregonian. “I’ve had some sit-downs with his mom, and she and I very confident he’ll make that decision tomorrow.”
Jones, a 6-9 forward who’s one of the nation’s top players, has reportedly been wavering between the Huskies and Kentucky.
If Jones doesn’t sign (would that be a surprise?) he can sign a financial aid agreement with a school. If that happens, the school would be bound to Jones, but he wouldn’t be bound to the school. (Brandon Knight did so when committing to Kentucky earlier this spring.)
Even better? He can sign multiple financial aid agreements and choose one school at a later date.
Hm. This post also may be repeated at a later date.
