UC Santa Barbara head coach Bob Williams will not be returning to the sidelines for his 20th season. According to a report from Gary Parrish of CBSSports.com, a formal announcement is expected later this month.
Williams had a 313-260 career mark at UC Santa Barbara, including a 185-125 career conference record, as he led UC Santa Barbara to NCAA tournament appearances in 2002, 2010 and 2011.
A three-time Big West Coach of the Year, the 63-year-old Williams guided the Gauchos to four regular-season conference titles during his 19 seasons. UC Santa Barbara also made two NIT appearances and played in the CBI, CIT and Vegas 16 under Williams.
The program finished last place in the Big West this season with a 6-22 record and 4-12 conference mark.
