Louisiana-Lafayette has landed another talented transfer, as Jakeenan Gant has committed and signed with the Ragin’ Cajuns, according to a report from Joshua Parrot.

Gant was a big get for Missouri coming out of high school. A former top 50 recruit, he was expected to be an impact player for the Tigers in the SEC. But like so many other players in the Missouri program, Gant eventually transferred out after to disappointing seasons.

As a sophomore, he averaged just 5.1 points and 3.8 boards in 15 minutes.

He will be eligible to play in 2017-18 and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
