Quade Green announced late on Friday night that he had trimmed his list to nine schools.
The players still left in contention: Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Syracuse, Louisville, Arizona, Villanova, Xavier and Temple.
Green is a top 20 player in the class and, along with Trae Young, considered the best point guard that isn’t expected to end up at a Under Armour-affiliated program (ahem, Trevon Duval). As I wrote over the summer, the point guard position is the most interesting in the Class of 2017, as Duval is the only one-and-done prospect on the board but he isn’t considering the two or three schools generally associated with amassing one-and-done players.
In other words, it is going to be very interesting to see which point guard commits first and where he ends up going.
