Oregon got a boost to its backcourt on Thursday as point guard Dylan Ennis was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.

The 6-foot-2 Ennis began his career at Rice before transferring and playing for two seasons at Villanova. Ennis attempted to play with the Ducks last season as a graduate transfer but was limited to two games and 21 minutes total after never properly recovering from a foot injury.

During his junior season at Villanova during the 2014-15 season, Ennis averaged 9.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in 28.1 minutes per contest. With the Ducks returning so many weapons from a No. 1 seed last season, this is just another experienced backcourt piece to throw into Dana Altman’s rotation.
