Minnesota center Reggie Lynch has been suspended indefinitely following an arrest from criminal sexual conduct. Lynch was booked into the Hennepin County Jail at 1:30 p.m. Sunday and as of this writing he was still in custody.

“He is suspended from all team activities indefinitely, pending the outcome of the investigation,” a statement released by the university said. “As an athletics department and a University, we are committed to respect toward all members of the community, and we hold all of our student-athletes accountable to the highest standards.”

This is the latest in a long line of disciplinary issues that Richard Pitino’s program has dealt with. Three players -- Dupree McBrayer, Nate Mason and Kevin Dorsey -- were suspended at the end of last season after a sex tape was released on Dorsey’s twitter account. Carlos Morris, in February, and Zach Lofton, during the previous season, were both dismissed for violating team rules, while Daquien McNeil was dismissed in November of 2014 after he was arrested on charges of domestic violence.

Lynch averaged 9.5 points and 2.8 blocks for Illinois State in 2014-15. He sat out last season after transferring to the Golden Gophers, and he was expected to start this season.
