Georgetown senior center Bradley Hayes will receive an additional year of eligibility as he’ll return to the Hoyas next season, the school announced on Friday.

The 7-foot-0 Hayes averaged 21.4 minutes per game last season and was a key interior presence for Georgetown before breaking his hand in February and missing six games. Hayes later returned for Georgetown’s final two games during the Big East tournament.

Hayes led the Hoyas in rebounding at 6.7 per contest last season and he averaged 8.7 points on 54 percent shooting. With him back in the rotation, Georgetown gets an experienced big man who was productive and occasionally forced defenses to collapse on him last season. With the Hoyas also adding Robert Morris graduate transfer Rodney Pryor, Georgetown should have an upgraded roster in some areas after a disappointing 2015-16 season.
