Monte’ Ross has been relieved of his duties as Delaware’s head coach.

“I had a great run at UD, 10 years,” Ross wrote on twitter on Tuesday morning. “Thanks to UD for the opportunity, really appreciate you guys, you were great to me and my family!”

Ross just finished his tenth season with the Blue Hens, and it was one of his worst in Newark. Delaware went 7-26 this season and just 2-16 in the CAA. His best player, Kory Holden, announced earlier this week that he would be transferring out of the program.

Ross went 132-184 as the head coach at Delaware, winning the CAA in 2014 and reaching the NCAA tournament. He nearly lost his job last season, as his athletic director did not want to renew his contract. He was eventually given a three year deal.
