Davidson fell behind late in the first, but a strong run in the final minutes had the teams level at 75 and headed for overtime. Big free throws in extra time gave Davidson the edge to upset St. Bonaventure and move on.

Faced with the opportunity to not only advance to the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 tournament but also cement their status as an NCAA tournament team, No. 3 seed St. Bonaventure saw things get a bit more complicated late Friday night.

The Bonnies fell to No. 6 seed Davidson 90-86 in overtime, with the Wildcats coming back from trailing by 11 with eight minutes remaining in regulation. As a result of the loss, the Bonnies will spend the next two days watching results from across the country while not being able to make their case for inclusion in the NCAA tournament field on the court.

Dion Wright and Marcus Posley scored 32 points apiece for the Bonnies, but they were the only double digit scorers as guard Jaylen Adams shot just 1-for-10 from the field on the night. Jack Gibbs led four double digit scorers for Davidson with 29 points, but Gibbs was made to work by the Bonnies as he shot just 11-for-30 from the field. Fellow starters Peyton Aldridge and Brian Sullivan added 17 and 15 points, respectively, and reserve Jordan Barham scored 13 off the bench.

Next up for Davidson is No. 2 seed VCU, which beat No 10 seed UMass in the first quarterfinal of the night session.
