Keith Frazier has left the SMU basketball team, a source told NBCSports.com.

Frazier did not dress and was not even at the game against South Florida at Moody on Saturday.

Head coach Larry Brown was asked about Frazier after the game.

“He’s dealing with personal issues,” Brown said on Saturday. “I told him to spend time with family.”

“I don’t know if he’s coming back,” Brown added. “We have to support him.”

Frazier, who had been averaging 11.9 points as the team’s starting two-guard, was a key figure in SMU’s postseason ban. The NCAA found that a former assistant coach and an SMU staffer helped Frazier get academically eligible by doing classwork for him.

SMU moved to 13-0 with a win on Saturday.
