VIDEO: The wildest 30 seconds in college basketball this year?

This might be the wildest sequence that you’ll ever see in a college basketball game.

Five possessions in the span of 30 seconds. Four blocked shots, a half dozen missed layups and one of the worst alley-oops that you’ll ever see thrown.

And the crowd LOVED it.

No. 4 Maryland would go on to beat Northwestern, 72-59, and in the process gave the Wildcats a bit of a reality check. Northwestern was 13-1 entering Saturday. They had their eyes set on an NCAA tournament bid ... and then found themselves down by 20 at the half -- at home -- when one of the Big Ten contenders came to Evanston.

That’s humbling.

But it doesn’t change just how much fun these 30 seconds were.
