Like the AP Poll the top spot remained unchanged in the USA Today Coaches Poll, with 13-0 Michigan State sitting on top. The Spartans received 27 of a possible 31 first-place votes in the poll, with No. 2 Oklahoma (three), No. 3 Kansas (one) receiving the other four. The top six spots in the poll are the same as last week’s, with Maryland, Virginia and Xavier staying put.

There were two changes in the top ten of the Coaches Poll, with Arizona moving from eight to seventh and North Carolina dropping from seventh to eighth. Also in the top ten are No. 9 Iowa State and No. 10 Butler, with the Bulldogs moving up two spots from last week’s position. Utah, ranked 22nd in this week’s poll, returned to the rankings and 10-1 Pittsburgh made its debut at No. 25.
