For the second Saturday in succession, Texas answered a game-tying bucket in the final seconds with a game-winning basket the final time that they touched the ball.

This time around, it was Isaiah Taylor, the star point guard for the Longhorns, hitting a ridiculously tough runner high off of the glass to give Shaka Smart’s crew a 75-73 win over Stanford in Palo Alto.

Taylor, a native of Hayward, Ca., finished with 26 points and six assists on 11-for-17 shooting from the floor:

Perhaps the most relevant part of this win is that the two guys that starred for Texas in their upset of North Carolina last weekend were Javan Felix and Eric Davis. On Saturday, they combined to shoot just 2-for-8 from the floor. It was Taylor and another freshman, Kerwin Roach, that starred this time around.

The win moved Texas to 8-3 on the season.
