Alabama lands talented JUCO wing Ar’mond Davis

Alabama and head coach Avery Johnson added a talented junior college wing on Wednesday night as College of Southern Idaho sophomore Ar’Mond Davis pledged to the Crimson Tide.

The 6-foot-6 Davis is one of the premier junior college prospects in the country and many services rank him in the top 10 in the Class of 2016. The second leading scorer at CSI last season at 10.9 points per game, Davis can attack the basket and also shows some range on his jumper.

Johnson was active recruiting Davis this summer and was one of the few head coaches in attendance at the All American JUCO Showcase Elite 80 West, an event where Davis was one of the top prospects. Earlier this fall, Davis committed to Memphis before changing his mind and opening things back up. The Tigers received an official visit from Davis and he later tripped to Texas A&M before seeing Tuscaloosa over the weekend and deciding that Alabama was the right fit.

The Crimson Tide are off to a great start in the Class of 2016 as Davis joins five-star high school wing Terrance Ferguson in Alabama’s future class.
