Seton Hall landed one of the most productive perimeter scorers in the Class of 2016 on Saturday as four-star guard Myles Powell announced his commitment to the Pirates.

Regarded as a four-star prospect and the No. 100 overall player in the Class of 2016, Powell can put up points in a hurry and is one of the most consistent 3-point shooters in the class. Playing with the New Jersey Playaz in the Nike EYBL this spring and summer, Powell averaged 18.5 points, 4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 20 contests. Powell also shot 44 percent from the field and 37 percent from 3-point range during EYBL play.

Head coach Kevin Willard is getting a proven perimeter scorer in Powell and he’s bringing in a solid four-year player who can come in and contribute some scoring pop immediately. Powell is Seton Hall’s first commitment in the Class of 2016.

Now with Powell in the fold, expect Willard and his staff to go hard after four-star point guard Bryce Aiken to pair along Powell. Both Aiken and Powell are taking official visits to Seton Hall this weekend.
