After announcing earlier this summer that he’d be leaving the Missouri program after just one season, Montaque Gill-Caesar hadn’t said much regarding his plans when it came to a new school. Thursday it was reported by Matt Prehm of 247Sports.com that the Huntington Prep product will visit Oregon, with that trip scheduled for Monday.

Gill-Caesar averaged 9.1 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in his lone season at Missouri, which came after he decided to reclassify back to 2014 from the 2015 class.

Gill-Ceasar will be on campus Monday through Wednesday for an official visit where he’ll spend time with Oregon’s staff, players, and get a feel for the campus. He is also considering taking visits to San Diego State, Iowa State, and Baylor.

Gill-Caesar, who committed to Missouri in early August 2014, reunited with former Huntington Prep head coach and current Missouri assistant Rob Fulford in Columbia. While Oregon does have scholarships remaining for the upcoming academic year, the Ducks will also have to account for the eventual loss of three guard/wing players at the conclusion of the 2015-16 season.

Grad student Dylan Ennis (from Villanova), Elgin Cook and Dwayne Benjamin are all in their final season of eligibility. Landing Gill-Caesar would definitely help Dana Altman and his staff as they look to address this area of need.
