Miami hauled in its first pledge in the Class of 2016 as center Rodney Miller committed to the Hurricanes on Monday. The 6-foot-11 Miller ran with the New York Lightning on the grassroots circuit and attends Oak Hill Academy.

Rivals currently regards Miller as a four-star prospect and the No. 93 overall prospect in the 2016 national class. Miller announced his commitment on Twitter.

The addition of Miller is a nice one for Miami, as he’ll help offset the loss of Tonye Jekiri when he graduates. Coming on the heels of the transfer of Rashad Muhammad into the program and the Hurricanes have done well recently to bring in talent.
