There has been a lot of offseason roster turnover for Kansas State and the Wildcats landed a new addition on Sunday as three-star Class of 2015 forward Isaiah Maurice pledged to head coach Bruce Weber. The commitment of Maurice was first reported by ESPN.com‘s Jeff Borzello.
The 6-foot-8 Maurice became a priority recruit for the Kansas State coaching staff in April, as they moved quickly to get Maurice on campus for an official visit. A stretch forward who can pick and pop or make plays around the hoop, Maurice is skilled for a forward.
Maurice played his senior season at Bull City Prep and played with Team Loaded NC on the grassroots circuit. Kansas State now has seven commitments in the 2015 class and the team’s roster will look completely different next season.
Maurice is joined by three-star guards Barry Brown, Kamau Stokes and junior college guard Corlbe Ervin while three-star forwards Eric Cobb and Dean Wade and three-star center Dante Williams round out the group.
The seven-man class is in place in-part because Kansas State has lost five players this offseason. Forward Malek Harris and guards Marcus Foster and Tre Harris were dismissed from the program while Jevon Thomas and Nigel Johnson decided to transfer.
