Donovan Mitchell Shuts Down The Derby Classic Dunk Contest from The Cardinal Connect on Vimeo.

Donovan Mitchell should have no shortage of highlights in his career at Louisville. The four-star power guard, one of four commits in Rick Pitino’s Class of 2015 put on a show at the Kentucky Derby Festival’s Night of Future Stars.

Mitchell lobbed a ball off the wall and into a one-handed, windmill dunk. According to Steve Jones of the Courier-Journal, he received a perfect score for that dunk. The 6-foot-4 Mitchell will advance to the championship round of the dunk contest on Saturday night at Freedom Hall in Louisville.

More good news for the Cardinal faithful: Ryan McMahon, the sharpshooting guard, had a great showing in the 3-point shootout.
