Gonzaga landed a big commitment on Monday night as four-star Class of 2016 big man Zach Collins pledged to the Bulldogs. The 6-foot-11 Collins is regarded as the No. 56 player in the 2016 class and attends basketball powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.

Playing at Bishop Gorman, Collins gets to battle McDonald’s All-American big men in Stephen Zimmerman and Duke commit Chase Jeter in practice. He took official visits to Cal, San Diego State, New Mexico and Gonzaga before deciding to continue his career in the WCC.
A face-up big man with a developing skill set, Collins operates well out of the high post and is improving his mid-range game.
