LSU guard Keith Hornsby might have put the Tigers into the Big Dance, as his 3-pointer at the buzzer lifted the Tigers to an 81-78 SEC road win over No. 18 Arkansas on Saturday.

The junior finished with 13 points as the win puts LSU at 22-9 and 11-7 in the SEC. Playing without starting forward Jordan Mickey, others stepped up for the Tigers. Most of Mickey’s production inside was handled by sophomore Jerrell Martin, as he finished with 27 points and eight rebounds.

Mickey had help on the perimeter from Jalyn Patterson, who finished with 20 points on 6-for-8 3-point shooting and point guard Josh Gray added 10 points and drew in multiple defenders on the game’s final possession before finding Hornsby in the corner for the game winner.

Arkansas was led by Bobby Portis, who had 21 points, 15 rebounds and four assists. Although the Razorbacks (24-7, 13-5) fought back in the second half after finding itself down, giving up 50 percent shooting (33-for-66) and 42 percent (9-for-21) 3-point shooting at home is not a great sign for the Arkansas defense entering the SEC Tournament.
