Cincinnati has suspended freshman forward Quadri Moore, the school announced on Saturday.
Moore was suspended for not meeting the academic and athletic standards of the program.
“We have standards both athletically and academically in our program that Quadri is not meeting,” head coach Mick Cronin said in a statement. “It is my hope that Quadri will take this time to make the adjustments he needs to make in order to be Bearcat again.”
The 6-foot-8 Moore has played in 21 games this season as a reserve for the Bearcats, and his being suspended means that the Bearcats are down to nine scholarship players. The New Jersey native averaged 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds per game in 9.4 minutes per contest.
