Kuran Iverson has found a new place to play, as the former Memphis forward will transfer to Rhode Island, according to Alex Kline of the Recruit Scoop.
The 6-foot-8 Iverson was suspended two games for violating a team rule at Memphis this season and made matters worse by retweeting criticism of Tigers head coach Josh Pastner.
Iverson averaged 4.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11.9 minutes per game for the Tigers during the 2014-15 season.
The Connecticut native was ranked as the No. 28 overall recruit in the Class of 2013, according to Rivals, and was a highly-touted four-star recruit.
In the Atlantic 10, Iverson could be an impact player as he’s still immensely talented with a lot of upside. The problem could come in how Iverson adapts to the team concept, as he’s had a few incidents that have led to suspensions during his two years at Memphis. If Iverson buys in and plays his role, he could be a really nice pickup for Rhode Island.
