Considered one of the best point guards in America, Texas sophomore Isaiah Taylor has played in just three games this season after suffering a fractured left wrist in the team’s win over Iowa in November. Without their best playmaker the Longhorns have put together an 11-2 record heading into conference play, and while players such as Javan Felix and Demarcus Holland have been solid the absence of Taylor has impacted the way in which Rick Barnes’ team does things offensively.
Friday morning team trainer Laef Morris announced that Taylor has been cleared to return to action, with his first game back on the floor coming Saturday at Texas Tech.

In the three games he played before suffering the wrist injury Taylor averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, shooting 53.3% from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc. Having Taylor back on the court will open things up for Texas’ other scoring options, as he’s a player teams have to account for as both a shooter and dribble penetrator.
