Through ten games Stanford freshman forward Reid Travis is one of three players to have started all eleven games for the Cardinal, with guard Chasson Randle and center Stefan Nastic being the others. The McDonald’s All-American is averaging 7.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, leading the team in rebounding.

Friday it was announced by head coach Johnny Dawkins that Travis has been sidelined indefinitely due to a stress fracture. Where the stress fracture is located was not revealed in the school release.

Travis is one of three players averaging between 6.4 and 6.9 rebounds per game for the Cardinal, with Nastic (6.4 rpg) and Anthony Brown (6.7 rpg) being the others. As a team Stanford is ranked second in the Pac-12 in offensive rebounding percentage (36.1%) and sixth in defensive rebounding percentage (72.0).

Without Travis have a noticeable hole to fill in their front court rotation, with classmate Michael Humphrey being one option to absorb some of those minutes. Humphrey’s played an average of just 9.6 minutes per game this season, accounting for 1.8 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest.
