Ole Miss suspended senior forward Aaron Jones three games on Friday night, according to Hugh Kellenberger of the Clarion-Ledger.

The suspension included Friday night’s 97-58 exhibition win over Division II Delta State (Mississippi). The 6-foot-9 forward will also be sidelined for the season opener next Friday at home against Charleston Southern and a road contest against Troy. Jones will make his season debut on against Southern on Nov. 20.

Jones averaged 6.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game during his junior season. He was the top rebounder for the Rebels and finished fourth in the SEC in blocks per game. Despite missing two of the top rebounders from a season ago -- Demarco Cox transferred to Georgia Tech -- to start the year, Ole Miss should be able to hold its own on the glass.

Andy Kennedy returns Sebastian Saiz, the 6-foot-9 sophomore who averaged 5.1 points and 5.6 boards per game in his first season. In April, Ole Miss added Tennessee State graduate transfer M.J. Rhett, who nearly averaged a double-double in the Ohio Valley Conference last season.

Ole Miss finished 19-14 (9-9 SEC) in 2014-15.
