Arizona gets key freshman cleared to play

Arizona v Ohio State

Arizona will have some key depth now for the 2014-15 season as freshman center Dusan Ristic has been cleared to play, according to ESPN‘s Jeff Goodman. The 6-foot-11 Ristic spent a season at Sunrise Christian Prep in Kansas and gives the Wildcats another talented body in the post.

Having Ristic as another option behind Kaleb Tarczewski gives Miller more flexibility with the front court rotation and some more fouls to work with if Arizona faces an elite post scorer.

Depth behind Tarczewski could have been thin without Ristic and the Serbian big man being able to play gives Miller another luxury piece to work with this season.

Ristic is considered by some to be a very good post prospect with a good set of hands and a developing low-post game. If Ristic can provide any kind of lift as a backup, Arizona will be very deep this season, as they contend for a spot in the Final Four.
