Saint Louis head coach Jim Crews announced on Tuesday that Grandy Glaze will be out for a few weeks -- perhaps as long as a month -- as he recovers from a separated shoulder suffered in practice.
Outside of having one of the best names is all of sports, Glaze is a burly, 6-foot-6 forward that was one of the most productive rebounders in the country a season ago. He averaged just 12.6 minutes as a junior, but churned out 3.8 points and 4.5 boards in that time.
With the Billikens losing so many key pieces, Glaze is expected to slide into a starting role. That likely won’t change, although if his injury takes longer to heal than expected, he may miss the start of the season.
Saint Louis will play their first game on November 15th against Southern Illinois.
