Sam Logwood has been cleared by the NCAA, New Mexico announced on Monday afternoon.

Logwood is a 6-foot-7 wing forward that played last season with La Lumiere in Indiana. He’s currently ranked No. 150 by Rivals in the Class of 2014.

“We are very happy to add Sam Logwood to our program,” head coach Craig Neal said in a statement. “Sam is a high-caliber student-athlete on the court and in the classroom. He comes from one of the top prep programs in the country where he played at a very high level. It’s great to also get a nationally-renown recruit that ranked among the top prep players in the class. The Lobo family is excited to have Sam on the team beginning this season.”

Logwood originally committed to Auburn and signed a letter of intent with the former staff, but asked out of it after Bruce Pearl was hired by the school. His former high school coach, Alan Huss, was hired by Neal as an assistant in August, just days before Logwood committed to the Lobos.
