6-foot-8 power forward Carlton Bragg has established himself as one of the best prospects in the Class of 2015. Bragg, who cut his list to five in early September to five schools (Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky and UCLA), has set up official visits to Kansas (October 10) and Kentucky (October 17). And according to a report Saturday, a third official visit could be in the works.

According to Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog, Bragg’s mentor stated that they’re in the process of setting up an official visit to UCLA for the weekend of October 31. This news comes on the heels of UCLA head coach Steve Alford making an in-home visit earlier this week to Bragg’s home in Ohio.

“Coach Alford stated that he loves Carlton’s progression from six months ago when he first saw him,” Graves said. “Coach Alford said that UCLA is the place for Carlton as far as style of play. They play an open offense up and down, which fits Carlton’s skillset.

“Also, Coach Alford stated that the campus life is the best, warm weather, just the atmosphere at UCLA is something that Carlton would enjoy. Coach Alford said he’ll be back later on during the high school season. He loves Carlton.”

UCLA has just one upperclassman in its front court at present time, junior Tony Parker. Among the front court players on this year’s roster are talented freshmen Kevon Looney and Thomas Welsh, with classmate Jonah Bolden having to sit out this season after being ruled a partial qualifier by the NCAA. The Bruins also have freshman Gyorgy Goloman and sophomores Noah Allen and Wanaah Bail, with the two sophomores not seeing much playing time in 2013-14.

Adding a player of Bragg’s skill level would certainly be a boost for UCLA in 2015-16. However Bragg doesn’t plan on committing until the late signing period according to multiple reports, and the four other programs on his list have plenty to sell themselves.
