Several weeks ago Rivals released its new rankings for the senior class with Jaylen Brown moving up to the No. 2 spot behind LSU commit Ben Simmons.

The 6-foot-7 Brown, who plays at Wheeler High (Georgia), had an impressive -- and busy -- summer. In June, he was part of the USA Basketball U18 team that won the gold medal in the FIBA Americas Championships.

On the grassroots circuit, he played with Game Elite in the adidas Gaunlet. In 15 games he averaged 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. The five-star small forward also made several national television appearances. During the July live evaluation period he scored 32 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in a loss in the adidas Nations. In August, he shared MVP honors with Duke commit Chase Jeters as they led their team to a win in the Under Armour Elite 24.

Kansas, Kentucky and UCLA all conducted in-home visits with Brown this week, according to Mike Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Georgia and Georgia Tech are scheduled to meet with him in the next few days, as well.
