Traditionally Super Tuesday involves games from the Big Ten and SEC, and that will once again be the case during the 2014-15 season. Wednesday afternoon the schedule for Super Tuesday, which begins on January 6, was released and some of college basketball’s traditional powers will be featured on many occasions. There will be nine doubleheaders, with Wisconsin leading the Big Ten teams with four appearances and both Florida and Kentucky of the SEC having four appearances as well.
Of Wisconsin’s four Super Tuesday appearances two will be at home (Iowa and Indiana), with the road games coming against Nebraska and league newcomer Maryland. Michigan, which won the Big Ten regular season title last season, will make three appearances with Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska and Ohio State each making two appearances apiece.
Things aren’t as balanced in the SEC portion of the schedule, with Arkansas’ game at Georgia on January 6 being the only game that doesn’t include Florida or Kentucky. Georgia, LSU and Missouri will make two appearances apiece, with Arkansas, Tennessee and Vanderbilt getting one game apiece.
