Colorado State landed a commitment from a shooting guard on Monday as Kansas native and 6-foot-2 guard Anthony Bonner pledged to the Rams and head coach Larry Eustachy. The commitment was first reported by Matt L. Stephens of The Coloradoan.
Bonner is regarded as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and averaged 16.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game at Lawrence High School in his junior year as he shot 49 percent from the field and 42 percent from long range.
“What I liked most about CSU was the people. The campus setting was great, so was Old Town, but they all seemed like genuinely good people who wanted to be around me and I want to be around them,” Bonner said to The Coloradoan. “The opportunity I’ll have as a freshman to show my skills and hopefully get in the rotation early is great.
Colorado State is now on the board in 2015, as Bonner is the program’s first commitment for the class and they have two more scholarships to fill.
